IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CHANGE IN TERMS
In order to help reduce the rising risk of identity theft committed through the mail, Valley Credit Union is making the following changes to how your periodic statements and notices are delivered: Effective October 31st, 2006, VCU will no longer be sending periodic statements, newsletters and other important notices in paper format via mail. The default delivery method of these important communications will be electronic, via e-mail. To begin receiving the aforementioned communications via e-mail, log on to online banking through our website, www.valleycu.org, and click on the ESTATEMENTS tab. Then, follow the prompts to enroll. Members who wish to continue to receive paper statements must notify our Call Center at 408.955.1300.

eStatements can be viewed 24-hours a day, and are archived and accessible as far back as January 2004. eStatements from 2004 on will be viewable for at least 60 months. An e-mail notification will be sent to the e-mail address provided by you within 5 business days of the statement cycle closing date to notify you that your e-statements are available online. It is your responsibility to provide a valid e-mail address, and to keep that address current. You may update your e-mail address by logging on to online banking and clicking on the SERVICES tab, then by clicking on the CHANGE EMAIL link. In addition, it is your responsibility to examine each eStatement and to report any irregularities or disputes to VCU within 60 days of e-mail notification of your e-statement availability.

This change will allow VCU to deliver your statements and other important notices faster and more efficiently, and will significantly reduce the risk of identity theft committed through the mail. However, as mentioned above, should you wish to continue to receive your statements and other important communications by mail we can certainly accommodate your request.

YES! I want to start receiving eStatements right now! How do I sign up?
Just click here and login to online banking using your account number and password and click on ESTATEMENTS tab! Then follow the prompts to enroll. The first time you use eStatements, you will need to read over the disclosure information and then either accept or reject it. You must have a valid e-mail address and Adobe Reader 5.0 or higher.

You will get an e-mail each month telling you when your latest eStatement is available. You can then view, save, and print your statements and tax forms using Adobe Reader. It's that easy!

What if I want to cancel eStatements and receive printed statements again?
Call our Member Services Call Center or stop by any branch to alert our system that you would like to make this change.

How long will my eStatements be available?
At this time we do not plan on limiting the number of eStatements available to members, which means that you will be able to access all of your statements online starting with January 2004.

Will I be charged a fee for this service?
This convenient service is FREE for all members.
